PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winch device of small and lightweight construction. SOLUTION: This winch device is equipped with a plurality of sun gears 27 and 28 arranged coaxially from ahead A to the back B, carriers 31 and 32 installed near the sun gears 27 and 28, planet gears 33 and 34 meshing with the sun gears 27 and 28 located near the carriers 31 and 32, a drum 23 pivoted coaxially with the sun gears 27 and 28 and surrounding the sun gears 27 and 28 and planetary gears 33 and 34 in the circumferential direction, and internal gears 29 and 30 formed on the inner surface of the drum 23 and meshing with the planet gears 33 and 34, wherein the sun gear 27 located at ahead A is connected with a drive shaft 24 while the carrier 32 on the back B is fixed and the sun gear 28 is coupled with the carrier 31 so that the driving torque is transmitted to the internal gears 29 and 30 through the planetary gears 33 and 34 and the sun gears 27 and 28 having small number of teeth located inside the drum 23, and thereby the rotary speed of the drum 23 is reducedly driven.
