PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a motor drive force in relation to an operation value of a brake operation member, in a vehicle electric brake device having a motor- driven brake. SOLUTION: In this brake device, a control gain (k) defining the relation between a brake operation value A and a motor drive force D is reduced according to reduction of a vehicle velocity V and a successive time of brake operation in time of a series of the brake operation such that temporal changes in a brake torque T, a vehicle body deceleration G and the vehicle velocity V don't occur regardless of a temporal change in the brake operation value A.
