PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To run a vehicle at a microspeed without operating an accelerator pedal by inhibiting or suspending the execution of braking force holding control when a driver operates an operation switch. SOLUTION: In the case where a vehicle is requested to hold braking force, an electronic brake control unit 10 puts holding valves 40, 44 in on state (valve closed state). In this state, when an operation switch 56 is turned on, the processing of putting the holding valves 40, 44 in the off state (valve opening state) for releasing the braking force holding state is executed, so that a master cylinder 27 and wheel cylinders 52, 54 become continuity state. In this case, a brake fluid of the wheel cylinders 52, 54 flows out to the master cylinder 27 side, so that the braking force is decreased by lowering of wheel cylinder pressure. By this method, the held braking force can be decreased without accelerator operation. Thus, a vehicle is enabled to advance at microspeed by utilizing gravity on a down-hill or the like.
