PURPOSE: An optical information recording medium is provided to enhance the reliability of recording reproductions by disposing a neutral side in the thin film layer upon deformation due to humidity changes. CONSTITUTION: A thin film layer(40) is formed on a substrate(20) and performs the record and reproduction of information. A thin film protecting layer(50) is formed on the thin film layer(40) and protect the thin film layer(40). A neutral side of deformation of a thickness direction due to temperature changes exists in the vicinity of the thin film layer(40). The thickness, Young's modulus, and coefficient of the linear expansion with the substrate(20), thin film layer(40), and thin film protecting layer(50) are set in desired values in order for the neutral side to exist in the vicinity of the thin film layer(40).
