PURPOSE: A camera and a camera testing method are provided to simplify the testing procedures while allowing the data stored in a memory device to be available for a reproduction test for magnetic data during manufacturing process of the camera. CONSTITUTION: A camera comprises a magnetic head member(1) for reading magnetic data recorded to each of plural frames of a film, a delivery member for delivering the film, a speed detection member for detecting a delivery speed data indicative of a speed of at least one frame delivered by the delivery member, a level detection member for detecting a signal output level of the magnetic data read from at least one frame by the magnetic head member, and a memory device for storing the delivery speed data detected by the speed detection member and the signal output level detected by the level detection member.
