PURPOSE: A magnetic record player and a semiconductor integrated circuit device for driving the same are provided to set functions of the semiconductor integrated circuit device on a test mode by inputting a test signal into a terminal which is used for ordinary operation. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor integrated circuit device is powered on. A test signal is inputted into a clock output terminal(6) when a control circuit(2) is on. ON/OFF control signal is set Low so that a signal of Low is transmitted from a control unit(14) through a buffer(17) into a gate terminal(G) of a latch circuit(15). So, the test signal which is transmitted to an input terminal(D) via a buffer(9) is transmitted to the control unit(14) from an output terminal(Q). Test mode is identified by transmitting test signal into the control unit(14) and ON/OFF control signal is set Hi so that operation of the latch circuit(15) is stopped and at the same time clock is transmitted into a clock output terminal(6) via an AND circuit(16) and a buffer(8) to be output.
