PURPOSE:To provide a waveform shaping device capable of realizing waveform shaping and burst shaping at the time of data continuity by the same device with a simple constitution and a small memory capacity and unnecessitating a pre-amplifier and a post-ampifier for burst shaping. CONSTITUTION:The waveform at the first half of a pulse and the waveform at the second half of the pulse are respectively read from memory tables 5 and 6, and added, so that a waveform w3 under consideration of the influence of the interference of preceding and succeeding symbols can be obtained with the small memory capacity. Also, at the time of transmission of burst-shaped data, a waveform selecting means 4 selects only the waveform at the first half of the pulse at the time of data start, and selects only the waveform at the second half of the pulse at the time of data end, and outputs a shaped waveform w4. Thus, even a burst end can be simultaneously shaped in the minimum time. |
