TUNER FOR RECEIVING TELEVISION SIGNAL TO DECREASE UNNECESSARY COPY

PURPOSE: A tuner for receiving television signal to decrease unnecessary copy is provided to prevent an occurrence of an unnecessary copy by passing a high frequency signal between an input terminal and an output terminal when a frequency converter is operated and not passing the high frequency signal when the frequency converter is not operated. CONSTITUTION: A VHF band frequency converter(4) has a VHF band mixer(12) and a VHF band local oscillator(13) and converts a VHF band television signal into an intermediate frequency. A UHF band frequency converter(8) has a UHF band mixer(14) and a UHF band local oscillator(15) and converts a UHF band television signal into an intermediate frequency. A band converter(10) operates the VHF band frequency converter(4) and the UHF band frequency converter(8) selectively. First and second switch circuits(3,5) are installed at a front side of the VHF band frequency converter(4) and a front side of the UHF band frequency converter(8). First and second switch circuits(3,5) pass a high frequency signal when a frequency converter located at a rear side is operated and does not pass the high frequency signal when the frequency converter is not operated.
