PURPOSE: Cationic monobenzene nitroanilines for dyeing keratin fibers are provided which are used in a dyeing method with direct dye as well as used in preparing a dye composition exhibiting a resistance to the various attack such as a light, a friction, bad weather, a washing and sweating applied to keratin fibers. The compounds are easy to synthesize and have a good solubility in medium. CONSTITUTION: A monobenzene nitroaniline compound has one or more cationic groups selected from aliphatic cycle charged with one or more cationic charge non-localized at unsaturated 5-membered ring heterocycle having many nitrogens. Z of the cationic group is selected from the group consisting of pyrrole, imidazole, pyrrole, oxazole, thiazole and triazole. A dyeing process comprises the steps of: applying the composition to dry or wet keratin fibers for time sufficient to develop, preferably from 3 to 60 min, more preferably from 5 to 40 min; optionally, rinsing by shampoo; and washing and drying.
