PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recess hole closing device in plating a resin product having a recessed hole provided in a boss in order to prevent an electrolytic solution from entering the recessed hole in the resin product to be plating- finished, and the boss from being stained by the residual solution, and to prevent the pollution around the boss and the electrolytic solution. SOLUTION: The recessed hole closing device is press-fitted in a recessed hole 5 in a boss 7 integrated with a resin product such as a radiator grille in the beginning of a plating process, and comprises a core 2 and a press-fit part 3 to cover its outer surface. The recessed hole 5 is closed by holding the core 2 and press-fitting the press-fit part into the recessed hole 5, and no electrolytic solution enters during the plating work.
