PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting jig for a main rope end of elevator capable of being used to every sort of socket and suppressing the rotation of the socket when it is in stabilized condition. SOLUTION: A socket turn stopping tool 9 is composed of an insertion part 9a used at screwing forward of lock nuts 6a and 6b and inserted into a hole 2a in a socket, socket surface abutting parts 9b and 9c provided capable of grasping the socket 2 in the area with respect to the insertion part 9a, and a handle 9d where the insertion part 9a and socket surface abutting parts 9b and 9c are coupled at one end and extended to the other end.
