Large dimension rapidly opening emergency door comprises leaf (1) which opens upwards. Driving parts are connected to the leaf by a system of cables (5) and pulleys (6) which displace leaf during normal or emergency operation. Driving parts comprise double acting hydraulic actuator whose rod is connected to leaf by cables. Actuator piston chambers are connected to hydraulic control unit through hydraulic circuit. When there is break in electrical current electro safety valve immediately controls transfer into emergency operating mode. This releases mechanical energy stored by counterweights (9) directly connected to actuator rod and automatically opens door to height allowing passage.
