<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic electrifying member which attains rapid build-up of electrostatic charge, does not reduce the quantity of electric charges at high temperature and high humidity, does not extremely increase the quantity of electric charges at low temperature and low humidity, effectively prevents the deterioration of a developer due to the peeling of a surface coating layer, does not cause the deterioration of a toner due to spending and is excellent in durability. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic electrifying member has a surface coating layer containing a polyfunctional multi-branched high molecular compound which is a hyper-branched polymer. The weight average molecular weight of the polyfunctional multi-branched high molecular compound is, e.g. 5,000-500,000. The electrifying member may be a carrier, a sleeve, a blade or the like.</p> |
