PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To access all filing servers with log-on processing at a time and also to easily perform processing such as retrieval and registration over plural filing servers. SOLUTION: An index collecting device 500 collects and integrates index information from respective filing servers 100, 200, 300 and prepares a management table on the basis of an instruction from a client 400. The management table is stored in the server 300 being a management server. About input index information from the client 400, the management table is referred to and applicable contents are retrieved.
