PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which connects a male terminal and a female terminal together with moderate force, without causing defective connections, and reducing component cost. SOLUTION: A connector 10 is provided with a cylindrical male connector 13, housing a substantially band-shaped male terminal 11 and a female connector 14, housing a female terminal 12 thickness directionally clamping the male terminal 11 and nested for connection into the male connector 13. A clearance dimension G between a clamping piece 17 and a wall part 18 is set at not less than a thickness dimension T of the male terminal 11, while the clamping piece 17 is pressed towards the wall part 18 by means of an arm member 22 in a pressing means 20, when the female connector 14 is inserted into the male connector 13.
