PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic album device, an electronic album preparing method and a recording medium capable of improving operability and saving device space in the case of preparing a new album by selecting optional picture data from various picture data included in plural albums. SOLUTION: The picture data of two albums D, A are linked so that 'matriculation ceremony jpg' managed and stored in a directory named as the album A and 'matriculation ceremony jpg' managed and stored in a directory named as an album B are included in the album D. Since picture data themselves are managed and stored in the album A similarly to a state before the preparation of a link album, it is unnecessary to store two identical picture data. Consequently operability for preparing a new album D by selecting optional picture data from various picture data included in plural albums can be improved and device space can be saved.
