PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize normalized attribute information management having no contradiction between a plurality of objects all the time in providing a directory service. SOLUTION: This service realizing method associates data corresponding to an upper object in a directory service managed and stored by a database management system with data corresponding to a lower object by using a mutual reference pointer 45 and provides a means to easily specify an upper object 41 from a lower object 42 by tracking the pointer 45 from the lower object 42 to the upper object 41 in a reverse direction. Consequently, attribute information that is common between upper and lower objects is managed and stored in a single place of the object 41 in order to obtain attribute information that does not have contradiction between objects having common attribute information all the time and consequently attribute information can be returned as if to be attribute information of the object 42 itself by tracking the pointer 45 from the object 42 in a reverse direction.
