PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption for acquiring personal information by making the power supply of a digital broadcast receiving system an inactive state when digital broadcast is not received, feeding power to the digital broadcast receiving system at timing when personal information is transmitted, thereby receiving the digital broadcast. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a scanning means 8, a broadcast receiving request detecting means 10 and a received request detecting means 13 are provided to acquire personal information with small power consumption. As for these respective means, one of them can be selectively provided and also an optional combination of them can be provided. The means 8 reduces the operation time of a digital broadcast receiving system for personal information acquisition and power consumption. The means 8 supplies power supply to the digital broadcast receiving system with a power switching circuit 11 so as to extract a broadcasting channel contracted by a user or one channel from each transponder periodically and to receive it while digital broadcast is not received and interrupts the power supply after finishing acquiring data.
