<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience of a communication unit by receiving address information of a transfer destination expressed in a 1st address declaration, converting the address information into that expressed in a 2nd address declaration that is recognized in a 2nd communication network, configuring the 1st address declaration with prescribed kinds of codes and configuring the 2nd address declaration with codes of kinds in excess of those of the 1st address declaration. SOLUTION: The communication unit monitors the arrival of an incoming call from a public line. When the mode of the communication unit is set to an 'acceptance mode of prescribed users', the communication unit discriminates whether or not a received caller telephone number is acceptable depending on whether or not there is any telephone number in an acceptable telephone number table in a RAM 2-4 coincident with the received telephone number. Then the communication unit receives preliminary procedure signals such as signals TSI, SUB, PWD and DCS to confirm the mode. In the case of the 'acceptance mode of prescribed users', the communication unit compares the received TSI signal with telephone number that are registered and acceptable, the communication unit receives a facsimile document or converts a facsimile image into an electronic mail data signal.</p> |
