<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method by which surface fog and toner scattering are not caused by making the triboelectric chargeability of a recovered toner equal to that of a replenished toner in a developing system in which an untransferred toner is reused. SOLUTION: In the toner recycling type developing method, an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of a photoreceptor is developed with a replenished toner to form a visible toner image, this toner image is transferred to a recording sheet and the replenished toner remaining on the photoreceptor is recovered and reused for forming a visible image. A bonding resin of the replenished toner is a styrene-(meth)acrylate copolymer resin containing <=15 wt.% (meth)acrylate. The replenished toner contains <=10% by number of toner particles having a circularity of <0.90 in a range of >=1.6μm equivalent circular particle diameter and <=18% by number of toner particles having a circularity of 0.90 to <0.94.</p> |
