PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a sub unit containing a position detection circuit for position detection and correction data even on the part of a user of a DD motor system by providing a drive unit with the sub unit in a changeable manner. SOLUTION: The drive unit is provided with a sub unit 40 which is formed by integrally mounting a position detection circuit for position detection and ROM as correction data for use in position detection in an electronic package and is replaceable on the drive unit main body 30. The sub unit 40 is mounted on the drive unit main body 30 using small screws 31 in such a manner that the sub unit can be replaced. To replace the sub unit, the small screws are removed from a front panel 33 and the sub unit 40 is pulled out of the main body 30. A unit 40' for replacement is inserted into the main body 30 and secured with the small screws 31. Thus the drive unit can easily replaced and can be replaced by a user.
