PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper/generator which is satisfactory in large-amplitude action and with which a large damping effect or generation output can be obtained accompanying the vibration of a vibrator. SOLUTION: A coupled body 20, where at least two pieces of magnets 11A and 11B provided with magnetic poles 12, having diverging paths on both poles, are united with each other in mutually reverse direction through nonmagnetic spacers 15, and two pieces of coupled bodies 21, where many yokes 13 are united at equal intervals to the magnetic poles 12 via nonmagnetic spacers 14, are fixed in parallel so that the yokes 13 and the spacers 15 alternate with each other, and the yokes are connected continuously to the magnetic poles 12 via gaps, thus the magnetic fluxes of the magnetic poles/yokes change through the mutual displacement motion between the coupled body 20 of the magnetic poles 12 and the coupled body 12 of the yokes.
