PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user about incorrect use quickly and surely and to allow the user to use the image display device correctly and safely in the case that a suction port to intake external air for the purpose of cooling by means of a fan is choked due to incorrect use of the user or the like. SOLUTION: In the case that a suction port 2a of a case 2 that is guarded by a dustproof filter mounted to a filter cover 3 is choked by an obstacle and the display device is used, the filter cover 3 pushed outward from a side face of the case 2 and supported by a spring member is retained inside the case 2 to depress a 2nd sensor switch provided inside the case 2 so as to detect the suction port 2a that is chocked. Furthermore, a 1st sensor switch 5 provided inside the case 2 is not in contact with an end of the filter cover 3 to sense no-mount of the filter cover 3.
