PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of a radio 10 used for both on-vehicle DAB and RDS when the same program is simultaneously broadcasted in a DAB and an RDS. SOLUTION: A radio 10 used for both on-vehicle DAB and RDS is equipped with a DAB receiver 11 and an RDS receiver 13. A microcomputer 18 detects the quality of received radio waves of the DAB from a BER or the like. When the same program is simultaneously broadcasted in the DAB and an RDS, the DAB takes priority and a selector 22 selects an output of the receiver 11 and sends it to a speaker. When the received radio wave of the DAB becomes less than a prescribed value L1, the selector 22 selects an output of the receiver 13, sends it to the speaker through a sound adjusting means, and the sound adjusting means increases volume from 0 to the adjustment position of a volume adjustment member for user operation gradually.
