PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction or delay the time for causing malfunction by composing a plate-like bimetal arranged so as to interlock with a piston for switching a contact formed below a supporting part with a low-temperature operation bimetal and a high-temperature operation bimetal each of which is reversed at a certain temperature. SOLUTION: An overheat protection sensor 2 moves downward along a shaft. A thermally sensitive part 17 is abutted on a pan bottom by a spring 14 and transmits the temperature of the pan bottom to a low-temperature operation bimetal 6 and a high-temperature operation bimetal 7 through a housing 8. Since the operating temperature of the bimetal 6 is set to a temperature at which it is not operated in normal cooking or tempura cooking at a proper temperature, and the operating temperature of the bimetal 7 is set below a temperature at which oil generates smoke and a dangerous state is caused when it is further raised, when the temperature of oil is raised above a temperature not suitable for cooking by omitting to turn off power or the like, the bimetal 6 and the bimetal 7 are sequentially reversed in that order, and a contact 10 is disconnected through a piston 11 after the bimetal 7 is reversed.
