PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with various subscriber's interface by one kind of multiplex circuit and separation circuit in the multiplex circuit and the separation circuit of a multiplex-separating device. SOLUTION: Plural ACDs corresponding to various kinds of subscriber's interfaces are previously stored in ACMs 24 and 33 of each of the multiplex circuit and the separation circuit. In the separation circuit, the ACM 33 automatically selects and sets one of the ACDs based on a control signal 25 showing kind information of a subscriber's circuit 5 providing the subscriber's interface and executes timing control, etc., of a first S/P(serial/parallel) conversion part 27, a first MUX 28, a RAM 29, a second S/P conversion part 30, a second MUX 31, a third MUX 32 based on a set ACD to generate the signals of forms desired by various kinds of circuits 5 to cope with various subscriber's interfaces by one kind of separation circuit.
