PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the tensile strength and the resistance against bending without the electro-conductivity. SOLUTION: A copper alloy of such a structure that In and Sn in 0.15-1.0 wt.% in total are added to Cu is subjected to a cold stretching process into a wire diameter of 0.08 mm or less so that an ultra-thin wire 2 is formed, and at least three of such wires 2 are twined to produce a strand. This eliminates risk of bringing about rupture or buckling even if a severe bending stress is given.
