PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device reduced in power consumption without injuring the control property of a feeding servo. SOLUTION: A stop detection circuit detects the start of the stop period of a feed motor driver 20 driving a feed motor based on the output signal of a low-pass filter 191. A timer circuit 132 starts a count operation from the start of the stop period, and performs the count operation until arriving at a prescribed setting value. A sequence control circuit 131 switches a contact of a changeover switch 192 to a ground side during the period until the count value reaches the set value from the start of the count operation of the timer circuit 132. Thus, since the output signal from the low-pass filter 191 is not inputted to the feed motor driver 20 in the period, the feed motor driver 20 does not consume useless power.
