FERRULE FOR OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule for an optical connector adapted to surely adhere and fix an optical fiber near to the front end face of the ferrule. SOLUTION: This ferrule for the optical connector has an optical fiber insertion part 10 extending inward from an optical connection port 5 formed at the front end face 1a. The optical fiber insertion part 10 has an optical fiber positioning hole 4 extending from an optical connection port 5 and an adhesive packing hole 6 which extends backward from the optical fiber positioning hole 4 and has the diameter expanded larger than the diameter of the optical fiber positioning hole 4. The front end of the adhesive packing hole 6 is positioned near the front end face 1a.
