The fabric consists of two layers of plain knitted textured yarns of between 40 and 80 decitex, each having between 30 and 70 filaments of a biocompatible plastic material, produced on a knitting machine with two hook bars having an English gauge of 32 - 40 needles per inch. The two layers are in a 1:1 ratio and they are subjected to a thermo-fixing procedure as they come off the knitting machine. The fabric is coated with a sealing substance, preferably resorbable, such as a collagen. |
