PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce release of vaporizing material from a blocking body made of functionally gradient materials and prevent breakage of the blocking body. SOLUTION: The lamp has a bulb 10 having an arc tube part 11 and a sealing tube part 12 connected to the both ends of the arc tube part 11; and a column blocking body 20 arranged within a sealing tube part 12, the blocking body 20 is constituted with functionally gradient materials having an insulating part 21 on the inner end side and a conductive part 22 on the outer end side, the sealing tube part 12 is bonded to the insulating part 21 to form sealing structure, and a power feed member 35 extending in the axial direction from the outer end part of the blocking body 20 is installed, and a sleeve part 13 having the inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the blocking body 20 is formed at each outer end of the sealing tube part 12 so as to extend outward along the axial direction, a displacement limiting member 40 having a through hole of the power supply member 35 is held on the inside of the sleeve, and a minute clearance is formed between the displacement limiting member 40 and the power supply member 35.
