The device for preventing bicycle pedals becoming loose comprises a washer (12) fitted over the projecting, non-threaded portion of the Allen screw (7) connecting the pedal to its axle. This has a concentric projection on one face with teeth (14) which lodge in the widened part of the hole in the crank (4) which has corresponding teeth (15). A split pin (16) which passes through a hole in the screw and in contact with the other side of the washer holds the arrangement in place.
