<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water from entering the upper surface of a body by provid ing a cylindrical part, stretching from the ceiling surface of a lid portion toward the body, and causing the cylindrical part to cover tabular terminals and to house the terminals in the recession of the upper surface. SOLUTION: Since a cylindrical part 18, formed in the ceiling surface 13c of a lid portion 13, is capable of housing tabular terminals in an upper surface recess 14 in such a way as to cover the tabular terminals, through the use of this electrical connection box 10, the cylindrical part 13 functions as a waterproofing wall, and water will not penetrate the upper surface recession of the body, even if water enters upwards from below the end part of the lid portion 13. Since fitting of the lid portion 13 to the body 11 is impeded by the use of this connection box 10 as the end surface of a cylindrical part 18 touches a tabular terminal 17, if the tabular terminals are fixed in an inclined state with respect to the recess 14 and fixing bolts for example, faulty connection of the tabular terminals becomes apparent as a fitting nonconformity of the lid portion 13 to the body 11. This will catch worker's attention and reduce the fraction defective.</p> |
