PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the angular velocity at a high accuracy, without being influenced by the temp. variation, and obtain the angular acceleration and the rotation angle determined by that angular velocity. SOLUTION: The apparatus utilizing the Coriolis force comprises an oscillation velocity detector circuit 80 for detecting the oscillation velocity of a mass 5. The detected velocity is inputted to an exciter circuit 20 and the velocity feedback is applied so as to make e.g. a max. vibration velocity of the mass 5 constant. The Coriolis force is rigorously proportional to the angular velocity in the condition that the oscillation velocity of an oscillator (mass 5) is constant, and hence the angular velocity can be calculated accurately. For instance if the displacement quantity of the mass 5 decreases due to the temp. change, etc., the exciter circuit 20 gain is raised and the max. oscillation velocity is held constant. |
