PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode for reducing the fluctuation of reflected lights from a recessed part for light reflection, and for improving the output of outgoing lights. SOLUTION: An edge face light emitting element 1 is loaded on a bottom face 21 of a recessed part 2 for light reflection and sealed by a light transmitting lamp. The bottom face 21 and an inner wall 22 of the recessed part 2 for light reflection are formed as true circuits, and the edge face light emitting element 1, whose main face 12 is a regular hexagon, is loaded on the bottom face 21. Thus, the fluctuation of the distance from the edge face 11 of the edge face light emitting element 1 to an inner wall 22 of the recessed part 2 can be reduced, and the outputs of outgoing lights from the lamp can be increased. |
