PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to execute operation for grasping the edition history of a composite document itself or returning the state of the composite document to a just preceding state when the constitution of the composite document is changed or the version of document components is updated in a composite document management system. SOLUTION: Document components constituting a composite document are specified, a constitutional information table storing constitutional information indicting the constitution of document component groups of a composite document is prepared by a constitutional information table registering program 106 and stored in a secondary storage device 109a. When the addition of a new version of document components corresponding to the constitutional information registered in the constitutional information table, the addition of a new document component or the deletion of a certain document component is generated, the constitutional information is updated by a composite document version updating program 107, the updated constitutional information is registered in the constitutional information table in addition to the unupdated constitutional information and the constitutional information table is read out from the device 109a and displayed by a composite document version history display program 108. |
