PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor which is hardly affected by external influences, can eliminate surface instability of a part on which disc-type information recording medium and can prevent the influence of temperature change, even if the thickness of the motor is reduced. SOLUTION: A motor 40, which turns a disc-type information recording medium D, has a stator S and a rotor R, which has a shaft 20 and is turned relative to the stator S by current application with the shaft 20 supported by bearings 7 and 8 as the center for turning. The shaft 20 of the rotor R is made of an abrasion-resistant material and has an engagement shaft part 1, which removably engages the disc-type information recording medium D and a bearing engagement part 3, which has a recess 3A to engage and fix the engaging shaft part 1 and a seat plane 3D, on which the disc-type information recording medium D is seated and supports the bearings 7 and 8 between the stator S and itself.
