PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission method by which a plurality of real time data transmission and non-real-time data transmission with a multi-link on one communication link are realized in an asynchronous.half-duplex communication system. SOLUTION: A reference link is set to a client requesting a fastest data exchange timing among clients performing real time data transmission. Data transmission requests from clients to which no reference link is set (RdataReq, DataReq for a period A in Figure) are saved in a buffer. On the occurrence of a data transmission request from the client to which the reference link is set (RdataReq for a period B in Figure), the system informs a Link manager about a multi-link transmission request (Rbasedata Req for the period B in Figure). Then the transmission request data saved in the buffer are acquired (GetTxReq, GetTxRsp for a period C in Figure), the data are multiplexed in a communication frame and the resulting frame is transmitted to a communication Port (Port-DataReq for a period D in Figure).
