PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system and a transmission method where the need for limiting the format of audio data transmitted through a bus to a specific format is eliminated and a conversion circuit to convert the format is not needed in the inside of each receiver side device and to provide a transmitter. SOLUTION: The reproducing device 100 of this transmitter generates a plurality of packets in ch1 (IEC985 format) and ch2 (Raw Audio format) by using the same data and different synchronization communication channels and transmits them to a recorder 101 and a digital amplifier 102 through buses 104, 105. Thus, it is not required to limit the format of the data transmitted through the buses to a particular type, and it is not required either to add a format conversion circuit to each receiver side device and the inside of each device. Consequently, the receiver side device or apparatus can be made simpler and smaller in size, thereby reducing the cost.
