PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit the waste such as the mounting operation, the adjusting operation or the like of a sensor which detects the passage of an object to be measured. SOLUTION: An object 1 to be measured is irradiated with light from a light source 2. Scattered and transmitted light is incident on a diffraction grating 5 via a lens 3 and a slit 4. Zero-order light is incident on a zero-order light sensor 6. Diffracted light is incident on a photodiode array 7. The output of the zero-order light sensor 6 is passed through an amplifier 8, a comparator 9 and a delay circuit 10. A trigger is generated. A signal processing circuit 11 is operated by the trigger. The signal of the photodiode array 7 is measured. Spectral data is acquired.
