PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in the case of resumme by enabling setting of presence/absence of a security function according to elapsed time of transition from a suspended state to the resume in electronic equipment set so that the security function is started in the case of resume. SOLUTION: The suspended elapsed time is calculated by subtracting suspended time data (Stime) previously stored in a CMOS 8 from time data (Rtime) in the case of resume to be acquired froma an RTC 10 when a resume processing of a system is performed, when the suspended elapsed time is less thanα1 which is preliminarily set by a user, the resume processing is executed without starting the security function, when the suspended elapsed time is equal to or more thanα1, the resume processing is executed after the security function is started and the security function is released by input of specified key of the user and when the suspended elapsed time is equal to or more thanα2 the resume processing is similarly executed by input of a password of the user by a CPU 2.
