PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an important image from being lost or overwritten owing to malfunction by inhibiting data with the same identification name which is recorded on a recording medium from being overwritten and erased when an original disk decision means decides an original disk and removing the inhibition when not. SOLUTION: It is decided whether or not a recording medium 8 is an original disk before image data are written and when so, the image data having the same file name are inhibited from overwritten and erased. When the mode regarding the writing, erasure, etc., of data to an applied mass-storage recording medium is a standard mode, it is decided that the recording medium is the original disk. This standard mode is detected from the state wherein the light emitted by a light emitting diode D1 passes through an opening part and none of its reflected light is made incident on a photoreflector PR1 when a slidable notch 80 is set at a position close to the center of the medium 8. |
