Roasting oven has a hollow interior with an electric heating tube (31) at its top and bottom. In the front wall is a central aperture (32) and two outer apertures (33). A whirlpool circulating device (4) includes a fan (41), fan housing (40) and a motor (42). The fan housing has a central chamber with a whirlpool circulating tube extending tangentially each side to connect with the outer apertures (33) in the oven wall. An axial air opening connects with the central aperture (32) in the oven wall. In use, the fan is rotated by the motor to blow air into the oven interior through the outer apertures from where it is directed through the oven and back to the fan housing through the axial air opening.
