PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decoding of the ID, the password of cards. SOLUTION: A pseudo fingerprint is printed to a part of cards such as a magnetic card, an IC card in addition to the ID through the use of randomness and data which can be read from the pseudo fingerprint (pseudo fingerprint data) is simultaneously recorded. Data which can be read from the pseudo fingerprint is retained on a network. (1) The pseudo fingerprint recorded in the card is optically read by a card reader. (2) Pseudo fingerprint data read by the card reader is collated with that on the card. (3) The ID of the card is read by the card reader. (4) Pseudo fingerprint data equivalent to this ID is retrieved on the network. (5) Pseudo fingerprint data read by the card reader is collated with that on the network. |
