摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission and reception integrated optical system unit for an optical transceiver dealing with a receptacle which is capable of connecting an MT ferrule of narrow inter-fiber spacings to the V-grooves disposed at a silicon substrate without separate provision of polymer optical waveguides. SOLUTION: The silicon substrate 1 fixed to a package is provided with the two V-grooves 9 formed at the inter-fiber spacing (approximately 0.75 mm) of the MT ferrule. A fiber 2 for signal transmission and fiber 3 for signal reception varying in length are fixed to these V-grooves 9. A light emitting element 4 formed on the silicon substrate is connected to the fiber for signal transmission and a light receiving element 6 fixed onto the package on the outside of the silicon substrate is connected to the fiber for signal reception, by which the light emitting element and the light receiving element are spatially disposed.
