COLLATING METHOD FOR PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER AND DEVICE PROVIDED WITH SECURITY FUNCTION BASED ON PASSWORD NUMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve a security function while satisfying a specification common for all makers/entrepreneurs. SOLUTION: A key input timing monitoring part 10 monitors the key input timing of a personal identification(PIN) number inputted from a key operating part 60 and reports the key input timing of the inputted PIN number to a PIN number collating and judging part 12. The PIN number collating and judging part 12 collates whether the PIN number inputted from the key operating part 60 and the key input timing of the PIN number inputted from the key input timing monitoring part 10 are coincident respectively with contents stored in a PIN number and timing data storage part 14 or not. Thus, coincidence/non- coincidence of the password number is judged from the numeral of four digits constituting the PIN number as well as the input timing of key input for the numeral of the PIN number.
