EXTENSION TELEPHONE SYSTEM, RADIOTELEPHONE SET, EXCHANGE AND METHOD FOR REVISING EXTENSION NUMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an extension number by a simple method. SOLUTION: An internal memory 44 of a PHS terminal 40 being an extension telephone set stores its own extension number. An entry section 42 enters a new extension number and transmits it to an exchange 10 via a transmission reception section 43. A control section 45 rewrites the extension number of the internal memory 44 into the new extension number in response to a rewrite signal from the exchange 10 to instruct rewrite of the extension number. An internal memory 12 of the exchange 10 stores extension numbers of all extension telephone sets. A control section 13 discriminates whether or not a new extension number from the PHS terminal 40 is available and transmits a rewrite signal to the PHS terminal 40 sending the new extension number via a radio base station (CS) 20 when discriminating that the new extension number is available. Furthermore, the control section 13 rewrites the corresponding extension number stored in the internal memory 12 into the new extension number when discriminating that the new extension number is available.
