PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a board, in which no force in deviating direction can act on a probe elastically contacting with a terminal electrode for a flexible board. SOLUTION: A body block 30 and a slide block 32 are provided, in such a manner as to relatively approach or separate in the axial direction via a linear shaft 34. A spring 42 is contractibly disposed between the blocks 30, 32. The terminal electrode of a flexible substrate 46 is disposed in the body block 30 in a surface perpendicular to the axial direction. A plurality of probes 52 are disposed in parallel to the axial direction in a manner of being exposed to the terminal electrode. One end of an engaging lever 58 is oscillatably disposed in the body block 30. An engaging projection 62 which engages with the engaging lever 58 is formed at the slide block 32. An engaging spring 64 is provided for resiliently urging the engaging lever 58 in an engaging direction. The slide block 32 is pushed upwards so as to allow it to approach the body block 30, thereby elastically bringing the probe 52 into contact with the terminal electrode. The engaging lever 58 is turned into an engaging state, thus holding the approaching state. |
