PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas meter in which a valve disposed in a high flow rate passage bypassed from a low flow rate passage is opened/closed surely and smoothly without consuming any power. SOLUTION: Gas is fed from a gas supply source side to the gas consuming source side through a gas inlet 5, a first chamber 13, a third chamber 17, a second chamber 15, and a gas outlet 7. An on/off valve 27 is disposed between the third chamber 17 and the second chamber 15 communicating each other through a passage 29 bypassing the valve 27. Linear movement of a diaphragm 37 due to variation of pressure balance between the gas in the third chamber 17 and the gas in the second chamber 15 introduced through the bypass passage 29 and a gas pressure transmission channel 43 is converted through rotary motion of a link mechanism 45 into a linear motion in the open/close direction of the valve 27 and transmitted thereto thus opening/closing the valve 27 using movement of the diaphragm 37 as power.
