PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepaid card system for preventing forgery such as copy. SOLUTION: At the time of recording variable information updated according to the spent sum of money in a prepaid card, a reading/writing device recording- updates the variable information of the two variable information of a variable area EA1 which is not recording-updated at the time of the previous card use. Then, the reading/writing device obtains featured data based on the recording positions of the two variable information of the variable area EA1, and includes the featured data in variable information to be recorded in a variable area EA2, and records the variable information. After the completion of the recording-update of the variable information in the variable areas EA1 and EA2, the reading/writing device obtains the featured data of the two variable information of the variable area EA1, and checks whether or not the featured data are made coincident with each featured data included in the variable information of the variable areas EA2. |
